Dr. Michael Schut, a native of Wisconsin, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med Biology from Mississippi College. He received his DMD from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2007, then completed a year of post-graduate training at the University of Mississippi’s Medical Center’s General Practice Residency program. Dr. Schut enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, particularly implant and cosmetic dentistry. He thrives on the satisfaction gained by educating patients on how they can improve their oral health. Outside of his practice, he enjoys running, playing basketball, paddleboarding, and surfing.

Dr. Caitlin Melvin was born and raised in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. She attended Dixon High School, where she graduated in 2013 as Salutatorian of her class. She then went on to continue her education at East Carolina University where she graduated with her Bachelors degree in Public Health Studies, a minor in Business Administration, and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from ECU’s School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, she was awarded the North Carolina Dental Trade Alliance Scholarship, inducted into the Servire Society as recognition for over 100 hours of community service in a calendar year, and was a North Carolina Albert Schweitzer Fellow, where she volunteered in the Greenville community to start oral health initiatives and toothbrushing programs in schools. She also served as President of ECU’s Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry. She is currently a member of the North Carolina Dental Society, North Carolina’s Academy of General Dentistry, and is an Invisalign Certified Provider.
Dr. Caitlin enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and is passionate about boosting patients’ confidence with orthodontic and cosmetic treatment, while focusing to create and maintain positive dental experiences for her patients. She cherishes the relationships that she is able to create with her patients, and strives to treat everyone as if they are family. She is committed to continuing her education so that she can provide the highest quality evidence based dentistry to her patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Caitlin and her husband enjoy spending time with their friends and family, boat rides at the beach, working out, and going on family walks with their Golden Retriever, Emmy! She and her husband, Wesley are very excited about returning to her hometown in Sneads Ferry to treat family and friends, and bring beautiful and confident smiles to the community she loves!
